JAMES LACHOWICZ
Acting General Manager, Archer Garage, Chicago Transit Authority
With nearly 30 years of experience in the field of budgeting and management, Jim spent 10 years in the Budget and Planning department of Trailer Train Company (TTX) an international railcar leasing firm. In 1990, Jim has worked for the Chicago Transit Authority, first in the budget and planning department, then (and currently) in Bus Operations.
As acting General Manager at Archer Garage, he oversees over 650 CTA employees and 300 buses that are utilized by over 120,000 passengers per day.
A lifelong Chicagoan, Jim has served as president of Triangle Neighbors Association of the Lake View Citizens Council, treasurer of the United Nations Association of Metropolitan Chicago, and has held leadership positions in several high-profile political campaigns. Also, Jim has been an active volunteer with Lakeview Action Coalition, Genesis House, and Camp Fire USA.
Jim has a BS in Mathematics and Master's of Business Adiministration from DePaul University.
